Two of Luke's molars have poked through! I cannot believe that! He'll be losing teeth before we know it.

I love books and the boys do, too, but we can't step foot in the library due to Luke's terror over the tree back in the kiddie section. I think it used to talk - it has eyes that open and close and a mouth. It just totally creeps Luke out. Bummer.

Me: You used to be little too, what happened?
Luke: I grew up!
Me: What did you go and do that for?
Luke: It happens all the time (with a shrug of his shoulders)

Luke was complaining about his teeth hurting and I was starting to get concerned. I was so bummed to think he might have another cavity. I went ahead and scheduled an emergency appointment for the same time as Gabe's check-up. A couple of days before the appointment I happened to look in his mouth and felt pretty sure that he had molars coming in. The dentist was really surprised that he was getting them so early, but x-rays confirmed that the teeth are just below the gums and should be making their debut any time now. Everything else looked fine. Whew!

Oh, and that means that as those teeth come in he'll start losing his teeth in front. I am SO not ready for that!!

I ordered these hats online and then cut out ovals from white felt. Added felt letters, glued it all together and there ya go. I found fake mustaches at a party store and made coin cubes from this site: http://www.packagetech.com/printable-boxes-and-seals.html.

Luke and his little friends had a great time dressing up as Mario and Luigi and the pictures are priceless!

Here's a picture of Luke's Mario Party Cake! We purchased the Mario figuring from thinkgeek.com. They have Luigi, too, but they are about $18 each, so he just got Mario! I was lazy this year and ordered a cake from Costco. They are so tasty it makes up for the lack of creativity. Nobody complained!

I printed the box template onto yellow cardstock and Chelsea and I assembled, glued and decorated them. I purchased chocolate coins from a bulk candy store in the mall. The kids each got a coin box, a mustache, some gold star stickers, and a hat as party favors. And I'm going to print off the pictures of each child dressed up and send those as a thank-you card.

Lately, when Luke gets mad he starts namecalling. Except it's not the usual stuff like "jerk", "butthead" that normal kids might use. Instead he shows his displeasure by screaming "You cheapskate" or "I'm gonna get you, you pogo stick". That's better than "butthead" right?

Gabe used the potty today and Luke was so stinking excited he was almost beside himself! He was cheering Gabe on and just praising him. He told him over and over how he was a big boy and he was just so proud of him. I was proud of Luke for being such a sweety to his brother.

Luke has been calling things "babies" lately. He showed me a couple of his Matchbox cars and said something like, "these babies are really fast".

You know you have boys when you find two army guys in the Roomba. One of them is pointing a gun and the other is radioing for help. I think the Roomba won.
